Research
Throughout my undergraduate career, I've had multiple opportunities to explore areas of communications, social, and health research.
Senior Seminar Communications Article
Inspired by my work at the Alamance County Health Department, I partnered with two professors at Elon's School of Communications to examine the messaging strategies and theories of various abstinence-based sexual education videos. The project allowed me to become familiar with health behavior and communication theories, including the self-efficacy and outcome expectancy theories, the fear appeals theory, and the transtheoretical model of behavioral change theory, and propelled me to further explore the health research sector.

• Accepted for publication as one of nine out of 100 submissions to Elon Journal.
Undergraduate Thesis IN Human Services
My undergraduate thesis on the psychosocial standards of care for pediatric cancer patients and their families allowed me to become familiar with public health research and psychosocial interventions. My thesis was founded upon my creation of an effective survey, obtaining IRB approval, maintaining and updating an extensive database regularly, recruitment of survey takers through professional communication with oncology care providers, and regular review and collection of present literature

Non-profit Assessment
During my time with Go Global NC, I worked with Microsoft Office software to calculate data and create an assessment of the Latino Initiative program's effectiveness. This review encompasses data gathered from the past 20 years on the Latino Initiative program, including: locations, participants and staff, program type and participant characteristics, goals and outcomes, outbound delegations, Mexican states visited, and dates traveled. For privacy purposes, the report is not available in my online portfolio. Please contact me if you would like to read the assessment!
